Social Media Week

Social media has changed in the last few years. Going from 20 minutes on the computer to being signed in 24 hours a day. Facebook, Twitter, and MySpace has basically taken over everyone. Everywhere you look people are twitting or updating their status.
All of these social media connections have many down sides to them. For instance, Facebook is a newspaper filled with the latest gossip, new pictures, and information. It seems that if you want to find something out you must check out one of these accounts. Another down side is that there is literally no face to face communication anymore. Its either through texting or the web. Also, these accounts take away valuable time that could be used for something more important. More people are becoming addicted to these websites because they are constantly wanting to know things about people or wanting everyone to know everything about theirs. Another is that these accounts can cause more harm to people than good. For one instance, cyber bullying has increased through Facebook, Twitter, and MySpace. That's not okay.
Though these websites have a lot of down falls, they do come with some good things. Facebook can reconnect with a family member or a long lost friend. Twitter can be good for distracting you from bad things and make you happier.
I believe social media can help me reach some of my goals as to finding opportunities I want to try out. It also could help me achieve the things I want to do for fun and LIFE live!

MBTI

I've never taken the MBTI test before. After taking it the results pretty much were right. I agree that I'm ISFJ.

I agree that I am and introverseion person. I'm the type that holds back and waits to see how things go before I do something. I am surprised though about a few things. Mainly that I dont believe I'm all that engerized by the inner world.

I also agree that I am a sensing person. I like to know the facts and details. They make me see what everything really is. I like to live reality instead of fantasy. Though I do like the future and possibilities from the intution aspect. This part of my MBTI is the one that really helps with my goals. I need and use most of them to accomplish one of my major goals; to finish college.

I am someone that uses more feelings than thinking. This cateogroy doesn't surprise me. I always do something that I feel is right rather than think through it. In some cases I dont choose the right thing. I think values is the most important thing that stands out to me. I consider everyones values as well as my own and make lots of my own decisions with them.

The last part I totally agree with. I am definitely and organized and palnned person. I always need to know what is going to happen. I do agree to that I am a little perceiving. I like to be flexible and spontaneous too!

It was interesting to take my MBTI. It made me understand why I do some of the things in life.

SMART Goals

I chose to go more into depth with my goal of graduating college and getting a enjoyable and good job.

Specific- I need to attend classes and keep my grades good enough to graduate. After I do that, I need to apply for jobs that make me happy.

Measurable- Its measurable that I can achieve graduating from college and I can achieve getting a job. I want to do my best during my 4 years at college so I can work for that one dream job.

Attainable-I can attain good grades and graduate and find a job.

Realistic-I know that i'm capable of finishing college. It can be done, also i'm capable of getting a job.

Time Bound-It is time bound because I'm working on it currently and will have to eventually take it to the next level and find a job.

The SMART Goal setting is a good way for me to set a goal, stay focused on the certain goal, and accomplish it.
